Fabian Martinez

Born and raised in Lubbock, Texas, Fabian Martinez spent eleven years serving with distinction in the U.S. Navy. As a Petty Officer Second Class, his career spanned diverse roles—from Damage Controlman and Operations Specialist to security forces and a designated Master Training Specialist instructor. Fabian’s service includes major deployments aboard the USS Nimitz (CVN-68) for OEF/OIF and anti-piracy missions aboard the USS Howard (DDG-83). Today, Fabian channels his passion for service into his work at Texas Tech University, where he assists veterans and their families in accessing military education benefits. He is also an active local leader, heading the Lubbock Chapter of VETsports to help veterans connect through community sports. Fabian loves spending his free time with his wife, Heather, and their three kids.
